The official opening of the Open Day (DOD) at TUKE 2022 took place on the premises of Aula Maxima. The visitors were welcomed by the Rector, Prof. Stanislav Kmeť, who in several points explained the current position of the University in the European area, as well as the possibilities of studies and mobilities, furthermore, the promotion of creativity and innovative ideas for which the necessary background is created at TUKE.

In short speeches, individual TUKE faculties were introduced by management representatives, which were followed by a performance of a magician who got the students into the world of glamorous physics. They encountered spells from a wide range of physical topics such as magnetism, optics, and mechanics, which proved that physics can be magical. The Rector’s official opening of the DOD TUKE kicked off a number of promotional activities, demonstrations, and attractions that took place throughout the university campus. The TUKE University Library became the centre of the event where students could stop and see the faculties’ presentation booths.
