The Technical University of Košice has been authorised to use the designation ´Research University´.

Quote from the letter of Mrs. Martina Lubyová, the Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic:

“Dear Mr. Rector,

In accordance with Article 113ah (5) of Act no. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education and amending and supplementing certain acts as amended (hereinafter referred to as the ´Act´), I grant the Technical University of Košice authorisation to use the designation ´Research University´ valid until the publication of the first assessment of the periodic evaluation of research, development, artistic and other creative activities of higher education institution according to Article 88a of the Act.”
