TUKE Technologist of the Year

University Highlights

The 26th edition of the Slovak Scientist of the Year 2022 took place on 16 May 2023 at the Slovak National Gallery in Bratislava. Its aim is to professionally and socially highlight the most prominent personalities of scientific life, as well as the best achievements in science and research in Slovakia. The event is under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.

The announcers of the award are the Centre for Scientific and Technical Information of the Slovak Republic (CVTI SR), the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) and the Association of Slovak Scientific and Technical Societies (ZSVTS).

The awards were presented in five categories: Scientist of the Year, Young Scientist, Innovator of the Year, Technologist of the Year and Personality of International Cooperation.

For TUKE the award in the category Technologist of the Year/Technologist of the Year went to:

doc. Ing. Marek Vrabeľ, PhD., from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Technical University of Košice. He received the award for providing complex technological preparation of production and production of unique parts for aerospace and nuclear industry.
