On 28 June 2019 graduation ceremony was held at the University of Miskolc. Honorary titles of Doctor Honoris Causa were also granted at the ceremony to eminent personalities, who contributed to the development of this scientific research institution.

Two personalities from the Technical University of Košice were among the awarded:

Dr.h.c. prof. Ing. Stanislav Kmeť, CSc., the Rector of TUKE, Institute of Structural Engineering, Faculty of Civil Engineering TUKE,

and Dr.h.c. prof. Ing. Michal Cehlár, PhD., the Dean of Faculty of Mining, Ecology, Process Control and Geotechnologies (FBERG), Institute of Earth Resources FBERG TUKE.
