On 12 September 2019, a working meeting of the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation (SZĽH) representatives, led by Mr. Miroslav Šatan, and representatives of TUKE - prof. Anton Čižmár, the Vice-Rector for Innovations and Technology Transfer, doc. Michal Šoltés, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, and doc. František Jakab, the Director of USP TECHNICOM - was held in the University Science Park (USP) TECHNICOM.

The aim of the meeting was to discuss the forthcoming co-operation of SZĽH and TUKE not only in the field of education but also in the area of research and development. The establishment of a joint research and development innovation centre for improving the quality of sports management, which should be located in the University Park, was also the subject of the discussion.
