Newly Appointed Professors from TUKE

On March 26, 2024, thirty-nine new university professors received their appointment decrees in the Habilitation and Inauguration Procedures (HKaIK) from the hands of the Slovak Republic President Zuzana Čaputová. Among the newly appointed professors were also members of the academic community of the Technical University of Košice.

The Dean of the Faculty of Arts of TUKE announced his resignation; the new Dean in charge is doc. Ing. Ján Kanócz, CSc.

On March 11, 2024, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts of TUKE informed the Rector of TUKE on his decision to resign from the position of Dean. He subsequently informed the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Arts of TUKE about the matter.

TUKE opens TUKE Coffee in UVP Technicom

On March 4, 2024 Technical University Košice officially opened its new café called TUKE Coffee. This new establishment is located in the UVP Technicom building and represents a considerable Campus facility for students, university staff and visitors.

Rector of TUKE welcomed the Slovak champions in League of Legends

Rector of Technical University in Košice prof. Ing. Peter Mésároš, PhD., received the trophy from the University Champions of Slovakia on 27.02.2024 in presence of the TUKE management. The Rector of TUKE expressed his gratitude to the Technical University of Košice Steel Crows Red team for their e-sport effort and for their successful representation of the University.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment of the Slovak Republic at a work visit at TUKE

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Environment of the Slovak Republic, Tomáš Taraba, initiated a constructive academic dialogue with scientists and experts at the Technical University of Košice (TUKE) regarding efficient waste management. The aim of the meeting was to discuss the use of the latest technologies in the waste disposal and waste recovery, which negatively affect the environment and pose a risk to human health.

On February 15, 2024, the representatives of FC Košice met with the representatives of the Technical University of Košice in the premises of the Košice Football Arena to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The IEEE 22nd World Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI 2024) took place on 25 – 27 January 2024 as one of the long-term cooperation platforms between the Technical University of Košice and Óbuda University in Budapest.
