On 7 May 2019, JUDr. Marián Gešper, the President of the Matica slovenská, and Mr. Michal Matečka, the Director of the House of Matica slovenská in Košice, accepted the invitation to the Aurel Stodola anniversary celebration and brought a gift for the Technical University of Košice in the form of dozens of interesting publications on the history and eminent figures of Slovakia. The visit was received by prof. Stanislav Kmeť, the Rector of TUKE, with the participation of Vice-rectors and the Bursar of TUKE.

The programme of the visit also included the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the two institutions in which, among other things, they mutually undertook to cooperate in the field of education and development of national culture.
