Equal Opportunities for Men and Women
The Commission for Equality of Opportunities for Men and Women is the overarching body responsible for gender equality at TUKE. The Commission acts as an advisory body to the rector for the development and implementation of the policy on equality of opportunities for men and women at TUKE.
The function of the Commission is to:
- Monitor the equality of opportunities for employees and students of both genders,
- Prepare the Equality of Opportunities for Men and Women Plan at TUKE,
- Evaluate the implementation of the Equality of Opportunities for Men and Women Plan at TUKE and regularly update it (at two-year intervals),
- Carry out activities to raise awareness about gender equality policy at TUKE,
- Cooperate in fulfilling tasks arising from the Equality of Opportunities for Men and Women Plan,
- Collaborate with similar committees at other universities.
Composition of the Commission
The Equality of Opportunities for Men and Women Plan at TUKE was discussed per rollam by the Commission for Equality of Opportunities for Men and Women on May 17, 2022, and after approval by Dr. h. c. Prof. h. c. Ing. Stanislav Kmeť, DrSc., Rector of TUKE, on June 1, 2022, it was published in the TUKE legislation section as part of the Quality Management System document “Quality Goals CK/TUKE/EQUALITY/22.”
