We know the winners of the 1st year of the competition

On November 4, 2021, with the participation of representatives of the TUKE management (prof. Ing. Anton Čižmár, Vice-Rector for Innovation and Technology Transfer), DT IT Solutions Slovakia (Andreas Truls, Managing Director of Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Slovakia) and Košice IT Valley (Miriama Hučková, Executive Director of KEITVA), we gave the awards to 3 students who won with their final thesis in the competition of top student's final theses (Bc., Ing. and PhD.).

USP TECHNICOM and Innovlab – Startup Center Kosice announced in the academic year 2020-2021 a competition for the best student's final thesis (Bc., Ing., PhD.) with innovative (business) potential in three categories: SMART CITY, POPULATION HEALTH AND INDUSTRY.

The winners received a financial reward of 500 Euros, which can be used to further development of their project, and they got the opportunity to develop their solution in the motivational environment of the USP TECHNICOM Startup Centre and the InnovLab Startup Up Centre, through the creation of a start-up (business entity). The supervisors of the winning student’s theses were also rewarded.

About the competition

The competition was announced for the first time in the academic year 2020-2021 and anyone who successfully defended their bachelor thesis (Bc.), diploma thesis (Ing.) or final doctoral thesis (PhD.) at the Technical University of Košice by 30 June 2021 could enter the competition.

The theses were assessed by an expert jury, composed of representatives of academia and business.
