The grand opening of the Kindergarten and day nursery AKADEMIK at TUKE
A kindergarten with a day nursery was established at the Technical University of Košice. This is the first such facility on university campus in Slovakia. It is intended mainly for children of students and university staff. This is the first such facility on university premises in Slovakia.
This school is unique in that it will accept preschool children, but it also includes a day nursery for children under 2 years of age. This is important for solving the situation of young people, students of the Technical University of Košice. The school and day nursery with a total capacity of 41 children are included in the network of permanent kindergartens and will give priority to the children of our students and staff, who will also benefit from preferential conditions.
The school applies the principles of "zero waste", the interior is composed of natural materials, and toys are made of wood. Children will be taught English, and attention will be paid to physical activities of children.
