Ulysseus marks its fifth anniversary with a high‑level Summit hosted by TUKE

Representatives from all Ulysseus partner universities gather in Slovakia to review mid‑term progress and shape the alliance’s strategic roadmap for the coming years
Košice (Slovakia), October 2025. The Technical University of Košice (TUKE) is hosting the Ulysseus Summit 2025, bringing together representatives from all partner universities of the alliance to review progress achieved so far and to continue shaping Ulysseus’ long‑term strategic direction.
This Summit comes at a symbolic moment: the fifth anniversary of the launch of Ulysseus European University in 2020. The event offers a key opportunity to take stock of achievements, align ongoing efforts, and define the roadmap for the coming years towards building a more sustainable, innovative, and inclusive European University.
The main Summit day, on Wednesday, 22 October, featured the plenary joint board sessions of Ulysseus’ key governance structures, including the Joint Structures Board, the Education, Research and Innovation Board, the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Community Engagement Board, the Mobility & International Board, and the Student Board. Complementing these, a series of internal meetings, workshops and taskforce sessions are taking place on 21 and 23 October, covering areas such as pedagogy, mobility, innovation, academic recognition and digitalisation.
The Summit gathered 149 participants from across the eight partner universities and associated partners of the alliance, reflecting the diversity and collaborative spirit of Ulysseus. Delegations from the Technical University of Košice, (57) Université Côte d’Azur (21), Haaga‑Helia University of Applied Sciences (13), the University of Seville (12), the University of Montenegro (12), the University of Münster (11), MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® (9), and the University of Genoa (8) attended the event, alongside representatives from Ulysseus’ network of Associate and Strategic Partners.
Organised by Ulysseus European University, the event is part of Ulysseus Košice Week (20–24 October)—the alliance’s flagship multi‑event of the year, combining over twenty activities into one vibrant programme. Alongside internal and governance meetings, the week includes several open public events such as the Ulysseus R&I Conference on Digital Transformation of Industry, the presentation of the Ulysseus Innovation Hub at TUKE, an Equality–Diversity–Community Engagement Forum, the UlySA Bootcamp with students, and the art‑and‑science session Creative Playgrounds.
By combining strategic discussions with outreach activities, the Ulysseus Košice Week turns the city into a living laboratory of European cooperation—showcasing the alliance’s growing impact in research, innovation, and civic engagement across Europe.
