The Technical University of Košice (TUKE) organised the TUKE Children's University during four weeks in July 2024 (from July 1 - 26, 2024), which was attended by 240 children between 7 and 13 years old. Based on the number of graduates, TUKE Children's University is the largest summer children's university in Slovakia in 2024.

The goal of the TUKE Children's University 2024, which TUKE organised for the 19th time, was to enable primary school pupils to experience university life at the second largest university in Slovakia in an interesting way. Thanks to the programme of our nine faculties children were encouraged to discover new things over five days, which would result in a number of new experiences and knowledge, in addition to new friendships.

A total of 240 amazing young students of the TUKE Children's University had an interesting programme full of new information and fun provided by the faculties:

  • Mondays - Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy and Recycling,
  • Tuesdays - Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics,
  • Wednesdays - Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies and Faculty of Mining, Ecology, Process Control and Geotechnologies,
  • Thursdays - Faculty of Civil Engineering and Faculty of Arts,
  • Fridays - Faculty of Aeronautics.

The children completed their studies as university students and the successful graduates of the Children's University TUKE 2024 were presented with their graduation diplomas. A graduation ceremony was held in the Maxima Auditorium and was attended by their family members.

The TUKE gates will open for children again next year, on the round 20th anniversary of the TUKE Children's University. TUKE is already preparing an enhanced programme with several new features for our future young students at the Children's University.
