The Technical University of Košice (TUKE) participated at the NAFSA Annual Conference & Expo 2024, which took place on May 28 – 31, 2024, in New Orleans. The TUKE delegation was led by the Rector Mr. Peter Mésároš, together with Vice­‑Rectors Mr. Ján Piteľ and Mr. Juraj Gazda, as well as Ms. Natália Vašková.

In addition to university representatives, there was also a delegation of the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic, led by its Minister, Mr. Tomáš Drucker and the State Secretary for Higher Education, Mr. Róbert Zsember.

NAFSA is one of the world's largest education fairs and more than 9,500 education internationalisation experts gathered at the annual conference. The aim was to discuss and share information about education, as well as to build new contacts and partnerships.

TUKE's participation in this prestigious fair supported the internationalisation of the university's academic environment and TUKE promotion abroad, which is part of a project funded by the Slovak Republic Recovery and Resilience Plan.
