Participation of higher education institutions at prominent international platforms, such as the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE), is key to foster internationalisation efforts and transnational cooperation in education and research.

At the APAIE 2024 Conference and Exhibition, which took place in Perth, Australia, on March 4-8, 2024, the Technical University of Košice (TUKE) was represented by Ing. Natália Vašková, PhD. from the Department of International Relations and Mobility.

The event was focused on dynamic networking of university representatives, exchange of ideas, building partnerships and exploring opportunities for cooperation in higher education and research within the Asia-Pacific region. The exhibition was attended by 2,082 representatives of higher education institutions from 66 regions. The Slovak delegation was led by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Education Research, Development and Youth, Mr. Róbert Zsembera. Slovak universities participated at APAIE 2024 for the first time, together there were 14 Slovak universities including TUKE.

TUKE's participation at APAIE 2024 is a significant contribution to its internationalisation efforts. By participating in various workshops and meetings, the University has gained valuable insights into global trends, best practices, and innovative strategies in the field of international education. Thanks to this event, TUKE was able to improve its internationalisation policy and expand its global network of academic partners and colleagues.

During presentations, bilateral meetings and joint informal discussions, the University presented its academic excellence, research qualities and diverse student community to an international audience.
