The Technical University of Košice hosted a successful Open Doors Day (DOD) and PIKNIK at TUKE, which was organized on May 21, 2024, for younger high school students from Košice and the surroundings. The event was officially opened by the Vice­‑Rector for Development and External Relations Ing. Rastislav Ručinský, PhD.

The event was attended by more than a thousand high school students, where a diverse programme awaited them. All nine faculties of TUKE presented themselves in their stands, where students could see promotional materials, talk to teachers and students and learn more about individual study programmes. In addition, there were also presentations of the departments of each faculty and various musical performances. A variety of attractions and sports activities were prepared for those who were in the mood for fun and relaxation with the Department of Academic Sports of TUKE. The refreshments and pleasant atmosphere were also great.
