On Monday, May 7, 2018, twenty selected students of the Technical University of Košice signed contracts on future employment contracts with management representatives of one of the largest metallurgical enterprises in Central Europe, U. S. Steel Košice. All of them took part in the corporate programme of year-round practice in the enterprise.

"You belong to the best ones and that is why you are being given this opportunity today" said Scott Buckiso, the president of U. S. Steel Košice, to the students during the event.

Our university was represented at the event by prof. Ervin Lumnitzer, the Vice-Rector for Education.
